Not Too YoungSample
If you’re anything like me, you like to take ownership of things. In other words, you like to make things your own. That might look like earning money to save up for a new video game, choosing what outfit you’ll wear to school, or making a wise decision.
When we are following Jesus, we’ll also get to a point where we want to make our faith our own, too! When I was 13 years old, I went on a mission trip. On that trip I realized that I needed to make my faith my own. I needed to stop relying on my parents’ faith. I needed to take ownership to grow in my faith.
The writer of this verse says that faith is believing in something we cannot see. Basically, faith is believing in God even though you have never actually seen God. As I have owned my faith, I have learned that Jesus is walking every step of the way with us, even if we can’t always see it or feel it.
Today, I want to challenge you to go for a walk outside. On your walk, decide one thing you’ll do this week to take a step in owning your faith. My prayer is that you would be encouraged to keep growing in your faith!
