The Nature of Life - A Mixed Bag

The package of life contains the happy moments and the sad moments, the mountaintops and the valleys, the hard times and the good times. We need to accept all of it trusting God. Satan asks God this thought-provoking question: “Does Job fear God for nothing?” In my translation, that would read “Job worships you only because of the good times and the good things you have blessed him with.”
Now put your name in the blank there and say it out loud “------ only worships you because of the good times and the good things you have blessed him/her with.” What's your response to that? Doesn't that make you take a step back and think? The truth is that we need God for every season of our life and not just as a safeguard against the good and happy times from disappearing. Life is a mixed bag of the good and the not-so-good, and it is a wise man and a woman who can accept both.
