"Salvation is of the Lord"
Start by praying the whole prayer and then reread today’s section.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of the Christ.
May your salvation, O Lord, be ever with us.
The final lines of this beautiful prayer lead us to pray four times that salvation is God’s gift to us.
It is because of the outrageous grace of God, our loving Father, that he chose to save us.
God looked at all of our thoughts and deeds, all of our efforts, successes and failures and considered us worth dying for.
Take a moment to read the stunning words of Saint Paul in Romans.
We are challenged to live with the words - whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
We call on his name.
We trust in his love.
We fall into his arms.
Paul challenges us to live lives based first and foremost on faith and not on the law.
We cannot earn God’s love with good deeds, but we can respond to that love by performing good deeds a plenty.
We live righteous lives because we are saved, and it is this righteous living that brings us ever closer to appreciating the love of God.
May your salvation, O Lord, be ever with us.
