Be Still: 15 Days With God Sample
WAITING ON GOD
Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. PSALM 62:1
Our hearts must choose between confidence in God and confidence in people or circumstances. But often, we find ourselves being double-minded, and this leads to instability and faltering in our walk with God. How can we settle our minds to put our confidence and trust in God and God alone?
David is resolved here to wait on God. He is actually reminding himself through this psalm! As he expresses, we also can abide in the Lord because He is our Rock, our Tower, our Shelter, and He has given us a heritage. We can abide in Him for those reasons, and we can abide in Him because He also is our Salvation. He alone is our Salvation!
Therefore, let us abide in Him having perfect confidence in Him because salvation comes only from Him!
From Waiting on God, Psalms 61-63
About this Plan
"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
