New to Faith: Bible Reading Plan

DAY 14 OF 16

Sharing Your Story

Before Jesus returned to heaven, He told His followers they were to be His witnesses to the whole world. They were to tell others about Jesus, including His life, death, and resurrection, and that He was the King of the new Kingdom of God. Then Jesus’ followers were to invite other people to be part of the Kingdom of God by obeying and following Jesus. As more and more people shared the story of Jesus, the early church grew rapidly.

The story of Jesus has had a tremendous impact on the entire world. Christianity is the most culturally and ethnically diverse religious movement in history. God planned to bless all the nations of the earth through His Son, and we partner with Him to bring a message of hope and healing to the entire world.

The thought of telling people about Jesus might make you feel uncomfortable. Being a witness for Jesus doesn’t mean forcing religious convictions onto someone else, but rather, it’s about sharing your story with them and bearing witness to the ways God is working in your life and the world around you. For instance, you could tell someone why you decided to follow Jesus, the things you've learned from Him, or how He is working in your life today.

Question: Who is someone you can tell about your decision to follow Jesus?
