What does worship mean to you - singing the words on the screen during church or following what the worship leader does, so you can fit in with the people around you? Worship is less about what we do, and more about why we do the things we do. Worship is a way to give adoration and praise to the Lord. Worship is a way to communicate and give our thanks to the one who created us. God calls us to lift him up in song, to come to his gates with thankful hearts and minds. When we worship through music, it’s a time for us to connect with God. We can speak with him in a new way. It’s a time to focus not on the band, the worship leaders or the lights, but on the sacred space of connection between you and God. Worship is an act of thanking God for what he has done and declaring our faith to him!
