Sometimes in Christian circles, careful planning can be viewed negatively. Rather than championing this as good stewardship, we can criticize it as a lack of faith. Today’s verse from Proverbs shows us that planning is, in fact, a good thing.

There are a lot of logistics that go into an international move, and even though they are not exciting to talk about, they are important. When I came to my final weeks before moving overseas, I felt like there were a million last-minute preparations that I needed to make which I had not considered. I had been so focused on raising my support that I had failed to address all of the other important aspects of the move. This type of experience seems to be fairly common for new missionaries.
