Follow Jesus together with other believers
The Bible says, "Do not neglect meeting together, as some do, but encourage one another." (Hebrews 10:25) Did you catch that? Did you get that? God doesn't want us to do life alone but with other Christian believers.
For years and years, Christians have gathered weekly to worship God and hear the Word of God in churches. The church is people getting together with other believers to worship God, hear the Word of God, and encourage one another in the faith. It's also where we encourage and serve one another with God's gifts. The church is not the building, but it's the people.
Your faith will be greatly encouraged and rooted when you gather with other believers to worship God and hear God's Word.
Look for a church in your area that teaches God's Word. Don't just show up and leave; get involved and find a place to serve within it. Be faithful, and watch God work through your commitment to follow Jesus with other believers.
If a church in the past has hurt you, let me encourage you that even though some Christians aren't great at following Jesus, find a place where you fit and can experience the fulfillment of following Jesus together with other believers. Find a place to heal and share your stories.
You will be happier, stronger, and more fulfilled as you follow Jesus with other believers.
