Moments for Mums: Walk in Power—Part 1Sample
How often do you feel like you don’t have the power to get through all you need to do? I know that feeling well. I act out of irritation rather than love. I don’t follow through on commitments I’ve made. I vow to do better tomorrow, but then I seem to repeat the same patterns.
Sometimes this is a good indicator that our days and to-do lists are overloaded. But it is also a sign that we haven’t allowed God full access to the deep recesses of who we are in order to bring transformation. We keep trying to live out of our own limited strength and broken emotional health.
This transformation is a lifelong process. I can see the areas where I have surrendered and allowed God access. I can also see where I have closed the door to the Spirit. Today, I choose to slow down to connect with Him and allow Him access to that next level.
Question
What parts of your life show a lack of the Spirit’s power, love, and self-discipline?
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for this gift of power, love and self-discipline. Show me where I need to open up access to your Spirit and help me to take the steps to connect with you. Amen.
