The Reliability of the Bible: Part IV
In this series, we’re discussing the reliability of the Bible, using the MAPS acronym from Hank Hanegraaff. Today, we are talking about P for Prophecy.
One of the most remarkable attributes about the Bible is the predictions that were made hundreds of years before they came true. Before Jesus’ birth, prophets made 55 predictions about Jesus, including that our Savior would be born to a virgin in Bethlehem and that Jesus would be crucified.
No other book can make such claims.
In Deuteronomy 18:19, God said, “I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.”
God’s Word has proven itself to be reliable. You can trust its wisdom to lead your daily work life as well.
Questions for Reflection
- What does reliability look like to you?
- What proves to you that you can trust a particular business, person, or ideology?
- How might you shape your business to prove its reliability to customers? How may reliability be lived out?
