SOAP – John 6:38 There is an eternal mutual loving relationship between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are One. Jesus, God the Son, has always existed in eternity, in Heaven, and in oneness as part of the Holy Trinity. Jesus humbly left the majesty and peace of heaven in submission to God the Father. Jesus left heaven because of His great love for us. What might God be asking you to let go of in order to experience more of Him? To experience a deeper connection with Him, we may need to leave unforgiveness, bitterness, or selfishness in order to submit to God’s will and plan for us. Jesus lived to do His Father’s will, no matter the sacrifice. What are you willing to sacrifice in order to submit to God’s will? Father God, I thank You for Your great love which meant descending from heaven. Lord, help me to let go of those attitudes and behaviors that keep me from submitting to You. Remind me of Jesus’ great sacrifice for me when I am faced with opportunities to sacrifice for others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
