Don’t Be in a Hurry - Proverbs 19
We live in a fast-paced culture. Everyone wants everything right now. We are all in a hurry. I think this feeling of always being rushed leads to frustration and stress. It’s much better to build some margin in your schedule, take your time, and have a more peaceful day. In a bigger sense, when rushing through life, it’s easy to miss the important things.
My morning routine helps me reset for the day. To stop and spend time in God’s presence is a powerful antidote to a hurried life. Spend a few minutes praying and reading Bible verses, and dedicate yourself and your day to God. Then, go out and take it one step at a time. It’s fine to be busy and have a lot to do; just don’t let yourself take on that feeling of rushing around. It’s an enemy to a peaceful, successful life because you could end up missing the way!
“Father, help me to slow down and enjoy the life you have given me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
