Revealing Revelation

DAY 13 OF 14

Millennium
The millennium is the 1000-year reign of Christ on earth. Who enters the millennial kingdom of Christ?

1. Those who are still on earth in their physical bodies, who survived the tribulation
2. The tribulation martyrs who have been given their resurrection bodies and will reign with Christ
3. The church who is the bride of Christ

The Resurrections
The first resurrection began with Jesus. The next time that the resurrection will resume will be that wonderful day when we will meet our Savior in the clouds. This is the rapture of the church, and it could come any day now. The Lord will come to the clouds, then “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye… the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Cor. 15:52). First will be the dead brought back to life, followed immediately by those who are still alive. There is one more grand event during the first resurrection. At the end of the tribulation, all the believers who had been martyred during the seven years of wrath or had been killed through the devastation will receive their resurrection bodies.

The second resurrection is when all the mortal believers who died during the millennium will be raised, as will all unbelievers from all time. Those who experience the second resurrection will line up before the judgment throne of Christ.

Back on the Streets
The millennium has passed, the pit opens, Satan’s chains drop off, and he gets out. He gathers up an army “whose number is as the sand of the sea” ready to break the rule of righteousness. As soon as the devil’s troops launch their attack, fire will come down from heaven, and the game is over. The devil will be captured and tossed into the lake of fire. The devil will be a victim of hell just the same as all who rebel against God and reject His grace.

The New Heaven and the New Earth
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Rev. 21:1–2).

The new heaven and the new earth will never perish and will never be infected with sin. God will protect the righteous from the destruction of the old and will release us onto the solid ground of His new beginning.

“I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away’” (Rev. 21:3–4).

This will be a world of Emmanuel—God with us!

About this Plan

Revealing Revelation

In this 14-day plan, Amir Tsarfati serves as a tour guide through the often-avoided and misunderstood book of Revelation. Despite its daunting reputation, this lengthy letter is a message of hope and promise. From beginning to end, Revelation is all about Jesus carrying out the will of the Father and is a promised blessing to those who read it.
