How to Study the Bible

DAY 5 OF 5

I believe one of the biggest problems we face as Believers is not that we don't find enough time to study the Bible, or even that we don't know how, but that we fail to apply the Word of God that we do understand.

What good is it to read and never allow God to convict you? Or worse, never heed to the sound of His correction? The whole purpose of reading is to see it as a mirror of who we truly are. Does our heart's purity align with the standards set by God, Himself? Are we carrying ourselves as people worthy of the calling we have received?

Our hearts should feel convicted when we read Scripture. God speaks through His Word to us as His kids, and if we love Him, we will obey what He commands.

It's not about reading as much as you can but about obeying as much as you can. When God sees that our hearts are set on obeying Him, He will uncover even more of His depths.

Let's Pray:

Father God, teach me Your ways. Show me how to heed Your voice, and forgive me for the times I resisted Your command. Teach me to be led by You, and open my eyes to the importance of heeding Your Word.
