What Is God's Kingdom Like?Sample

God’s Kingdom will never end
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. (Isaiah 9:7)
In the book of Isaiah, we read a lot about God’s judgment on the people of Israel since they continually rebelled against Him. As a consequence of their idolatry, the people “dwelt in a land of deep darkness” (Isaiah 9:1-2). Once, their country flourished under King David's reign, but now enemies had conquered them, and the situation seemed hopeless. But right in the midst of this misery, God tells them that He will give them a “Prince of Peace” who will reign on David’s throne forever and restore justice and righteousness.
In Luke 1, the angel Gabriel quotes this prophecy and applies it to Jesus. He is the ultimate Son of David. He will reign forever and ever. The book of Revelation shows us this situation since Jesus’ Kingdom is not yet visible to us in all its glory.
All three Bible portions stress that there will be no end to Jesus’ reign. This promise is like a refrain that unites believers from all times: the Kingdom we are expecting will endure through the ages. Human nations rise and fall, but God’s Kingdom will remain.
How does this perspective change your conception of time?
About this Plan

Jesus invites people into the kingdom of God. This is not an actual physical place. It transcends time and space, which makes it difficult to see what God’s Kingdom exactly is. Let’s read a collection of Bible passages to learn what God’s Kingdom is and how you can inherit it.
