Eliminating The NoiseSample
TURN TO JESUS
As we’ve looked at different ways to eliminate the noise this week, there really is only one answer to all of it - WE MUST TURN TO JESUS. Maybe you’re in the heat of your sports season and things seem hectic, maybe you just came home from the road and you're reacting poorly to your family and friends, or maybe you’re just plain tired. From a fellow referee to another, I beg of you to turn to Jesus.
John 6:35 says, HE IS THE BREAD OF LIFE.
He wants you to quit running every day to the things that don’t matter. I’ve tried most of them, they don’t work and cannot sustain you. Jesus wants to be your refuge and your fortress, He wants you to trust in Him. Come to Jesus and allow Him to give you rest. Engage with your Christian community and allow them to support you in the small things of life, and most importantly repent and forgive. It’s what He’s calling us to do. Keeping our eyes focused on Jesus, when the crowd noise gets too loud.
Reflecting Questions
In what areas of your life are you not turning to Jesus and creating more noise for yourself?
What are 3 ways you can keep your eyes focused on Jesus when the “noise” around you is too loud?

About this Plan
Being a sports official is loud. Crowd noise, players and coaches working to get their point across and coordinators needing answers. In the game, the noise can be suffocating but we are trained to block out the noise. Off the court we experience loneliness, emptiness, and exhaustion. GO, GO, GO. Jesus is calling us to keep our eyes focused on him when the crowd noise gets too loud.
