Year of the Bible: Part Eight of TwelveSample

You are Part of a Bigger Story
Look how good God is at weaving His story together for our benefit and His glory. God's story continues with Joseph and Mary, two ordinary people whom God trusts to carry out His purposes. When God gets involved, ordinary people become capable of extraordinary action!
This story about Joseph and Mary and the Angel of the Lord is integral to God's narrative of redemption for all of humanity. All the prophecies pointed to this moment when God would dwell among His people and liberate them from darkness forever! And here's the kicker: God's eternal plan hinged on the faithfulness of two people—Joseph and Mary.
Question: Do you think God trusts you? Why or why not?
Prayer: God, I am humbled and in awe at Your ability to put together the story of all eternity. Indeed, no one can fully comprehend the scope of Your understanding. Help me remember that I am a part of a much bigger story in which You are constantly at work! Let me always remain peacefully and wholeheartedly in You. In Jesus' name, Amen!
