ON LEVEL GROUND

It’s amazing how life can look one way on one day and completely different the next. Yesterday might have felt as though you were descending a mountainside of loose shale—one misstep, and you could fall. Today may feel as though you’re driving on that same mountainside on a narrow, twisty road without a guardrail. So being able to do all there is to do—completing an assignment at work, facing a fear that keeps holding you back, or working through a major decision—and remain levelheaded on solid ground is something to welcome and embrace. And that is exactly what God promises when we look to Him and live for Him. Thanks be to God.

Lord, please be with my husband today as he navigates all the twists and turns and ups and downs of life. Bless the path before him so that each step he takes remains on solid, level ground, no matter the terrain. Guard him from taking any wrong turns. Keep him in the center of Your will, and keep him focused on what You want to accomplish through him today. Cover him with Your grace and keep his heart tranquil and unmoved because of the love You have for him. Pave the way before him in a way that he knows, without a doubt, that You are calling him in that direction. Light his path on the stretches where he cannot see. Hold him in Your righteous right hand and bless his efforts in all that he does.IN YOUR GREAT NAME AND POWER I PRAY. AMEN.
