Draw Near - PraiseSample

Have you ever had to apologize for something when you’re not actually sorry. Your mum or your teacher makes you apologize to the other person, so you say, “I’m sooooooorrrrrrryyyyyyy.” With your words you’re apologizing, but with your attitude and your actions you’re not really sorry. If we are really sorry for something we did, we change our actions!
Or think about friendships. A friend seems to say the right things, like “I’m your friend and you’re great.” But with their actions, they don’t treat you like a friend. They forget your birthday, step on your lunch, or gossip about you. A friendship is built on more than words alone. True friendship is shown in actions.
We worship God when we use our words and proclaim His goodness, but true worship is shown in our actions. Worship is more than words alone. God isn’t looking for worshippers who just sing nice songs to Him and then are rude and mean to their brothers and sisters. He isn’t looking for people who will sing to Him on Sunday and then ignore Him the rest of the week. The kind of worshippers God is looking for are the worshippers who care for others, help others, and serve others. Love people even when it’s hard. Forgive and show God’s love through your actions.
