Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample

How Strong are You?
I am a salesman by profession, and have spent close to two decades being in the firing line of achieving sales targets. So, I do feel like I have some credibility when it comes to talking about understanding pressure. All of us know this thing called ‘pressure’ a little too well.
People have expectations from us all the time. Our families, kids, friends, bosses, colleagues, pastors and leaders place certain demands on us. Our desire to live up to all of these expectations translates into pressure. I have often found myself overwhelmed, and have felt like giving up, when some of these expectations become impossible to meet. That was until I read this scripture, if you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!
God has a plan for our lives, and that plan involves ruling and reigning with Him for all of eternity. Ruling and reigning involves understanding ‘governance’, and running a government requires us to be able to handle pressure.
We are in training to achieve that goal. So, when you are down, overwhelmed and feel like quitting, tell yourself ‘I may be weak but He is my strength and His strength is more than enough to face this situation.’
It is to the one that ‘overcomes’ that God entrusts His government. So, the next time you are down and want to quit, knock off the self pity, get on your feet and start running. God and you are a majority!
Prayer
Father God, help me realize that with You I can truly do all things, and every impossible and seemingly dead situation can be overcome by Your strength in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
