People Need More Than Information

One night I had a dream that some men broke into my house and were after my family. They were too powerful for me to fight, so I ran out of the house to get help. I ran to a phone booth and dialed 911. When the operator answered, she said, "This is directory assistance. May I help you?"

In frustration I told the operator that I had an emergency and needed 911, but I must have dialed 411 by mistake. I dialed 911 again, and the operator offered me directory assistance a second time. Really frustrated this time, I boldly told the person on the other line, "I'm facing a life-and-death situation. I don't need information; I need help!"

This was a prophetic dream that exposed a problem in the church. People are coming to the church for help, but preachers are giving them just information. They are dialing 911 and getting 411. The kingdom of God is not just in word but also in power! People need to experience the power of God that brings deliverance. Selah.

Today, pray ...
Lord, I ask that You will allow me to see the needs of others and be ready to help. You have chosen me to be Your hands and feet for such a time as this. Let me be ready to be all things to all men when that time comes. Thank You, God, for blessing me to be a blessing. In Jesus's name, amen.
