Christmas... Make It Make SenseSample

Was Jesus God or Human? Both... What?!
Jesus was human.
Jesus’ humanity is an important part of understanding incarnation.
The Son, who is in eternal relation to the Father and Spirit, willingly humbled himself and chose to assume a human nature in obedience to his Father and for our salvation.
The root of this ‘pillar’ is that Jesus wasn’t some all-powerful deity swanning and soaring around the earth while he was here, covered with visible glory and power, but instead was fully human in his ways. He took on human nature.
The eternal Son who has always possessed the divine nature did not change or set aside his Godliness. Instead, he added to himself a second nature, namely a human nature consisting of a human body and soul.
The scriptures record that Jesus walked, talked, felt, and suffered as every human does. He is the God who feelingly understands our hurts, struggles, and temptations.
Does it help you relate to Jesus, knowing he went through some of the same emotions you do?
