Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 1Sample

While on his ministry travels, Jesus learns that Lazarus, a very close friend, is very ill. Jesus returns to Bethany after Lazarus dies. Martha meets him there and says, "If you'd been here, Lazarus wouldn't have died".
There's no doubt she's emotional. Despite her grief, she says: "But even now, I know that God will give you whatever you ask for."
Martha was upset with her sister Mary in Luke chapter 10 for sitting at Jesus' feet and not helping her. Martha's faith is on display here!
Having faith in Jesus' ministry and His love for her, she could confidently say, "God will give you whatever you ask for".
Martha trusted Jesus, in who He was and what He could do.
There are a lot of times when things don't turn out our way, and we might think "but God, if only You were here...".
How can you respond to His love today?
