1 JohnSample

This passage reminds us of God’s love for us and is written to assure all who believe in God that He is with us as we continue adhering to His word. When we live in love, we are living in God, and God is living in us. When God lives in us, we can give Him complete control of our hearts, and He can lead us through every action, relationship, prayer, great day, and daily struggle.
As we live in love, that love grows more perfect. In turn, our hearts become more perfect the more time we let God lead and guide us. If you ever doubt His love, just look at the first seven words of this scripture - “We know how much God loves us.” God is love, and His love is a gift to us. This means that any amount of work or tasks or good deeds cannot earn God’s love.
God is unfailing love.
God is everlasting love.
God is unconditional love.
When we surrender ourselves to His love and amazing plans for us, we don’t need to live in fear of what eternity brings. We will also start to have some great experiences here on earth! The bigger you make God in your life, the bigger God will be in your life. Every time we pray, worship, read scripture, and serve others, we allow God to show up and change our lives as only He can.
Prayer Points
- Pray and ask God to show you the areas in your life where you’re not fully experiencing Him and His love for you.
- Pray that you can see the times when your love for others is not positioned like God’s love for you.
- Pray that you would experience true grace knowing that God IS love and will never stop loving you.
