10 Pillars : Building a Life in GodSample

10 Pillars : Building a Life in God

DAY 1 OF 10

There is only one true God, and the Bible reveals this God to us. He delivered his people from Egypt and forgave us through his son Jesus Christ. He is not an unknown God. After delivering the Israelites out of slavery, Yahweh addresses these people to ally with them. Yahweh thus reveals himself to these people and becomes their God. He gives the Ten Commandments, which therefore become the very foundation of the life of the Israelites. With their experience with the God who delivered them, they receive (after their deliverance) the conditions of life.

Today, Christians have been delivered from our sins, curses, wounds, and sickness. We have also experienced the power of God from many angles. Like the Israelites, we received our deliverance, healing, and other blessings before we even engaged with God. We have received by grace our salvation from our personal Egypt.

Do you know the God who saved, delivered, or healed you? What is your response to his invitation to have only one God? This message he gives to the Israelites still resonates with all of us "I who delivered you, you must have no other God than me!"

  • How do you respond to this?
  • Is God in the place he deserves?

Is He the only God in your life? Or did you quickly find other gods as the Israelites did — gods like money, work, material goods, and many other things that have become much more important than your relationship with God?

Day 2

About this Plan

10 Pillars : Building a Life in God

The ten commandments, the foundation of the Israelites was the focal point of their obedience to God. These building block are still very much necessary and still needed if we want to please God and live a life that will be pleasant to our Lord. This plan is an actualization of these commandments and how we can apply them in our actual generation and Culture.
