Everything starts with a thought. Every moment, every choice, every major and minor action starts first in the mind and then is carried out into our lives. When we find ourselves in the middle of a tragedy, an affair, in sin and problems, we feel surprised and shocked at ourselves. We ask ourselves, “How did this happen?” The truth is, it started with a seed thought that we didn’t capture and grew into something we never intended it to be. 

Is there an area in your life where you’re asking yourself how you got there, how you let it get so bad or so out of control? You are not alone, and there is a way to get out!

Today, you are half way through this renewal devotional, and it is time to get down to business! It is time to start making some changes that can change your current situation and take your life to the next level. You got to the place where you now are through thinking a certain way and embracing certain thoughts. You can get yourself out in the same way. Use the Word of God to start cutting away that which doesn’t need to be in your life. The Bible is your sword, and you have the power to refine. 

Renewal Thought: Use the Word of God to trim away everything that doesn’t belong in your mind. Capture those worldly thoughts, cut them down, and remove them from your mind. 

Prayer: Father, I pray for the strength and passion to press for Your perfect Will in every part of life. Let me not settle for mediocrity but may I reach for the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit. You will keep me going through all the obstacles I face, and You will help me live this blessed life.
