Joy to the World: An Advent Bible Reading PlanSample

Read Isaiah 7:13-14
Isaiah reports that God will send His Messiah through a woman who was a virgin and this Messiah will be called “Immanuel” which means “God is with us.”
Pray
Jesus was such a comfort to the people that He walked among because it was like God was among people. The name Immanuel means “God among us” – pray through the day today that you feel God’s presence within you. Pray for opportunities for that presence to comfort the people in your life.
Practice
Call or text someone that needs your forgiveness today. Let them know that they are forgiven.
