Joseph - Dreaming BigSample
Joseph was far from home, betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. He found himself serving in Potiphar’s house in charge of the whole household. Joseph worked hard and because God was with Joseph, Potiphar’s house was blessed. Until one day Joseph was wrongfully accused by Potiphar’s wife and was sent to jail. Again, God was with Joseph and he was put in charge of the other prisoners. The king’s cup-bearer and baker were in prison with Joseph and they each had a dream. Joseph was a man of dreams, so he used his gift to help them understand what their dreams meant and exactly what Joseph had said came true.
One day the king had a strange dream and the cup-bearer said, “I know who can make sense of this dream! Joseph!” So the king summoned Joseph. He listened to the king’s dream and then told him what it meant, “There will be seven years of harvests followed by seven years of severe famine in Egypt, you should start storing grain now so we can have food to eat during the drought.” The king was so impressed with Joseph’s wisdom, he declared Joseph be put in charge of all of Egypt”. Joseph stayed faithful, worked hard and served others with the gifts God gave him. With God our dreams can help others.
