DAY 3 OF 5

Lock Your Doors

If you were home alone and got a notification on your phone that a killer was on the loose, would you wait to lock the door until you were certain he was in your neighborhood or your front yard? NOPE! You would invite some friends over and bolt the door and check every window. We understand that it’s better to be ready when danger is approaching. The Bible gives us the notification that danger is approaching. The Bible reminds us that the devil is real and is actively seeking our destruction. The devil wants you to become addicted to things and wants those things to ruin your life.

So, what do we do? We prepare ourselves by doing the things that will keep us safe from temptation before it starts. We lock the doors and windows of our minds by being careful with what we will and will not do. We invite friends into our lives who also love Jesus and who we can trust to be there for us. You are not helpless. So, get ready.

Prayer: God, help me to take the temptations of the Devil seriously. Help me to lock the doors and windows of my mind and surround myself with wise friends.

About this Plan

Addicted

There is no such thing as a casual addiction. Alcohol, social media, and even video games can pull us in, and we often wind up handcuffing ourselves to the habits we just can't kick. Jesus offers us the keys to unlock our handcuffs and experience joy and freedom!
