God's Plan for Living: A Simple Roadmap for Your IDEAL Kingdom LifeSample
In the Parable of the Talents found in Matthew 25, Jesus gave talents (up to 15 years' wages per talent, some say) to each of the 3 workers in the field based on their history. One man received five, one man two, and another one talent. In the story, the first two men went and invested their money, doubling the investment. Upon returning, the master told both that since they had been faithful with a few resources, he was going to reward them with more. Not only more resources but also, more joy in their assignment. The same is true for everyone in God’s Kingdom. Expansion is the natural fruit of faithfulness to our identity and design. This is where your Kingdom assignment emerges.
Investing what God has invested in you is a foundational principle for all believers who want to grow in the Lord. Walking fruitfully in the revelation and resources you already have demonstrates to God that you can be entrusted with more. And there’s no limit to what He will entrust to those whose hearts are completely His. Without good stewardship of God’s gifts, you will likely be frustrated with what feels like a lack of momentum in your life simply because you’re not using the tools God has given you to walk in His blessing. But as you walk faithfully and fruitfully with the Lord, your joy and sense of momentum will increase as you experience the abundant life Jesus promised you. As we are faithful to walk with Him, God brings expansion, multiplication, and promotion in the context of our assignment.
Prayer
“Father, thank you that you have invested supernatural gifts and graces in me for your glory. Thank you for the ideas, opportunities, resources, and relationships that you continue to bring my way each day. Holy Spirit, I ask for your wisdom in how to best invest all the Father has given me to see the most Kingdom impact through my life. I rest in knowing as I faithfully steward all you’ve given me, you will bring the acceleration and increase at the right time. Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
