A Child's Guide To: Following JesusSample
God is With You
The LORD hasn’t lost his powerful strength; he can still hear and answer prayers.
Isaiah 59:1 (CEV)
Your friend Antonio was afraid of going to bed at night.
Antonio didn't like the dark; his mind kept dreaming up all kinds of bad things that could happen to him, and when he would finally fall asleep, nightmares kept waking him up.
What could you tell Antonio to help him during the times when he is afraid?
You could remind him that, because God is everywhere, he will be with him at all times. Tell him God hears every prayer we pray. Tell him next time he has a nightmare to say, “God is still strong! He hears my prayers!” God hasn’t become old or tired or too far away to hear you. He is very close!
Pray for God to replace those scary thoughts and nightmares with thoughts and dreams of God’s powerful strength, like today’s verse talks about. God will help Antonio . . . and you!
HERO TRAINING
Have a parent help you to write out today's verse on some paper and draw a beautiful picture next to it, and then mail it to someone to remind them that God is with them and hears every prayer they pray!
GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD
The air we breathe is constantly being moved around earth. If you are in America or China or Africa . . . we all share the same air!
