A Child's Guide To: Knowing God Is Always Good

DAY 4 OF 6

When God Waits

The Lord isn’t slow about keeping his promises, as some people think he is. In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost.
2 Peter 3:9 (CEV)

Won’t it be wonderful when we get to be with Jesus all the time? When the bad guys are all gone? When we don’t have to say goodbye ever again? When no one cries from sadness?

That amazing day is coming. God promises it! We just have to wait patiently. God is waiting patiently, too. Really! He is waiting for that day, but not letting it come before more people have a chance to know him better.

God loves us all and wants to give us time and chances do what’s right. Saying sorry for doing wrong is the first step. Then God can help you do what is right. By doing this, we please God!

And he is so patient with his children, too. When we mess up again and again, he wants us to ask for forgiveness and work to be more like Jesus. We know what is right because he tells us so in the Bible.

God is so patient!

HERO TRAINING

Are there people in your life you hope will start to follow Jesus? With your parents help, write their names down as a reminder to pray for them every day! Pray for God to give you a chance to tell them about his great love.

GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD

An anaconda can go one year without eating! Now that’s waiting patiently.
