You were supposed to go play at the park today, but then it rained.
Grandma and grandpa were supposed to come over, but then they didn’t feel well and canceled.
You were supposed to go camping this summer, but then Dad had to cancel because of work.
You were supposed to get a puppy, but then your baby sister was born, and Mom said the puppy would have to wait.
It can be so hard when things change!
God is always the same! He never changes his mind or his plans. He will always be with you. He will always help you. It doesn’t mean you will always get what you want, but you will surely get what you need. God loves you and will take care of you and your family.
Things around you will always change. But your God never will!
HERO TRAINING
When you are sad about plans changing, it helps to remember all the good things in life. See if you can think of new things to thank God for. Say out loud, “I’m thankful for . . .” and then say what you are grateful for. And then do it again and again! How many blessings can you think of?
GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD
A chameleon can change the color of their skin based on the weather, their mood, or what is happening around them. This change helps them stay safe or attract attention from other animals. (And it’s super cool, too! Some changes aren’t so bad!)
