God promises that He will bear our burdens and our despair, sustaining us in our sadness. No circumstance, lack, or loss that I may endure is greater than God’s love and compassion for me.
What do you desperately desire right now? How willing are you to surrender your desires for those of God? Believers must be careful that we are not creating our perception of God in our image. We were created to serve God – not to be served by Him. Although this surrender may be painful, God is able and willing to comfort and nurture us to healing.
Father God, I thank You for Your comfort, Your compassion, and Your love for me. Help me to surrender my burdens and my desires to You. Help me to continue to serve You faithfully even when I am experiencing heartache. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
