SOAP – Psalm 34:17-18
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. When we are at our weakest, God is our strength to begin anew. When we are at our lowest, God gives hope to rise again. When we are at our saddest, God knits our hearts back together moment by moment.
How has God drawn you deeper to Himself through your heartache? How has your heartache been transformed into a platform to glorify God and comfort others? When we step out in faith and seek God in our heartache, He reveals to us His sovereignty. As we speak to God, He reminds us of the physical, spiritual, and emotional anguish that His Son Jesus endured for us. As we pray to God, we find Him reassuring us of these truths in His Word.
Father God, I thank You for Your presence, Your comfort, and Your strength when I am brokenhearted. Lord, help me to trust You with my heartache. Remind me that You can be glorified in any circumstance that I experience. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
