Love God Greatly: Walking In Wisdom

DAY 38 OF 40

SOAP – John 19:28-30
Jesus Christ willingly gave up His spirit in obedience to God. He had finished His work of redemption. Jesus’ powerful work on the cross reveals the depths that God would go to be known intimately and to make full access to Him possible.

In what circumstance are you tempted to doubt God’s willingness and desire to save? For whose salvation will you continue to diligently and unceasingly pray? Jesus suffered the full pain of the divine wrath of God but also experienced the physical limits of human suffering. Jesus remained on the cross for us. When we doubt God’s love for us, we must remember Jesus’ completed redemptive work on the cross.

Father God, I thank You for Jesus’ completed work on the cross. I thank You that I am eternally secure in Your promises even when I doubt them. Help me to remember Your merciful forgiveness of my sin when I am confronted with the sin of others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
