Daily Bible Reading Guide, June 2023 - "God’s Saving Word: Spiritual Renewal"Sample
June 12
Introduction
In today's reading, the apostle Paul reminds the Corinthians that God, through Christ, has made those who trust in him his friends and that all who follow Christ have died to sin and have been given new life.
Scripture Reading
2 Corinthians 5:11-21
Today’s Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:17
Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come.
Reflect
What does it mean to you to be joined to Christ as a new being? Reread verse 18. What has God done? What task has God given to us? With whom will you share the message of friendship with God through Christ today?
Pray
Gracious God, fill me with your courage that I may experience your presence with me now and forever. Through Christ, you have made me your friend so that I may live in union with you. Amen.
And now, join us in thanking God that children and youth in Nicaragua are growing in their faith in Christ.
Loving God, life can be difficult for the children and youth in Nicaragua, but your Word is giving them the strength to persevere. They are learning more about you, and many youths are changing their lives from their former rebellious ways and receiving the help that guides them on a better path. Because of the generous support from Bible-A-Month Partners, your Word is keeping them firm in their faith and giving them hope. Amen.
