There's nothing like the excitement of seeing beautifully wrapped presents under the Christmas tree. Our inner child comes out, and our imagination runs wild as we can't help but guess what surprise is hidden inside each box.
No matter how much we've grown or how old we've gotten, there is nothing like the excitement that comes when someone says it's time to open presents! Before you know it, wrapping paper is flying through the room, and everything is over in a matter of minutes!
Unfortunately, life isn't always as kind as Christmas morning.
Just like there are times we didn't get that "special something" on our list, or the family drama was a little too much, the harsh reality is that sometimes the presents life gives to open are a little too much to handle.
Sometimes life gives us broken relationships, unmet expectations, betrayal, and heartbreak. The important truth to remember is that God is with us, even in those challenging moments. Today's Scripture reminds us to "shout," "worship," and "know" God is for us, even when life gets tough and too hard to handle.
Yes, even in the chaos, the confusion, and the hurt, God's love will never fail you. Take a moment and remember the ways God has always been there, and for God's unending love for you.

About this Plan

At the end of each year, we have the chance to reflect on everything that's happened and all of the people around us. There’s so much we can be thankful for every year — even if things didn’t work exactly how we planned. God has given us so much, and the birth of Jesus is a great way to focus on all of the gifts we’ve received this year.
