The Example of Timothy: Timothy, a young disciple of the apostle Paul, is mentioned throughout Paul's letters as a faithful and dedicated follower of Christ. In 2 Timothy 1:5, Paul commends Timothy's sincere faith, which he attributes to Timothy's upbringing. He writes, "I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also." Timothy's mother and grandmother played significant roles in nurturing his faith and teaching him the Scriptures from a young age.
