The Highs and the Lows

DAY 10 OF 10

Jesus (The Highs)

One of my favourite days of the year is Easter Sunday. It's Resurrection day; it is when we remember that the tomb is empty, death has not got the final say, and Jesus is alive!! What a day, and if we are going to finish on a high, then let’s finish this daily plan by remembering that our God is not dead; he’s alive! The death and resurrection are the key moments in the life of Jesus, apart from his birth and arrival on earth.

The death and resurrection of Jesus are GOOD NEWS! In fact, it’s the best news. You see, it was through the death of Jesus on the cross that all human sin, past, present, and future, was atoned for (theological word meaning all sin was paid for) so that we can be free. It means that through his death, sin has been defeated, and through his resurrection, there is new life, which means that there is salvation and freedom when we put our trust, hope, and belief in Jesus.

Jesus made a way for us to know God and walk in freedom which is great news… Jesus came that we might have life and life in all its fullness. Have you put your hope and trust in Jesus? No matter the Highs or Lows you experience in this life, in Jesus, there is ultimate hope and a future.

Questions

Q: At this moment, take some time to reflect on the Easter story. What are you thankful to God for?

Q: Who can you share the Good News about Jesus with today?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for your death and resurrection. Thank you that in you I am set free from the power of sin and that death will not be the end for me. I put my trust in you again today and say you are my hope; even in the Highs and the Lows, I will follow you! Amen.

Day 9

About this Plan

The Highs and the Lows

Growing up as young people, we can face many challenges. The teenage years are filled with different pressures and influences that can make standing strong in our faith difficult. We all go through hard times, whether friendships, family, mental health, or insecurity. Over the next ten days, we will dive into some of the heroes of the faith, the challenges they faced, and the lessons we can learn from them.
