God doesn’t divvy out His love to us in small portions. Instead He pours out His love into our hearts. Very rarely will someone die for someone they merely respect, but occasionally someone will die for someone they love. That’s what makes God’s love for us so evident! Jesus died for us while we were still sinners, hating God and in rebellion of Him. His love extended to those who are most unworthy of it. He willingly took the punishment for our sins. He gave the most He could give to those who deserved it the least.

You may feel like nobody, but to God you are somebody. He chose to send His Son to die for you! What a great demonstration of our value and worth. In fact, God’s Word says that when we place our trust in Him as our Savior, He makes us God’s children and co-heirs with Him. No matter what comes into our lives, He is there and His love is always available to us.

Our identity changes when we become God’s children. True freedom and self-worth are found only in Christ. Once you accept the truth of God’s ultimate love, His opinion becomes more important than others. Ultimately, it’s the only opinion that matters.
