TheLionWithin.Us: How to Protect Your Mind Sample

Consumption
Lions must be careful about what they consume.
Romans 12:2 clearly tells us to not be conformed to this world, and that begins with what we consume. We must renew our minds so that we can accomplish what the will of God is. But what exactly does “renewing your mind” mean? Simply put, it is focusing on glorifying God as opposed to focusing on worldly desires.
Unplug from the craziness around you, pick up your Bible, start reading, and ask God for clarity. The world will fire arrows at Lions all day long, and the only way to combat them is to use the weapons that God provides. Being mindful of what you consume is key, and intentionally renewing your mind will make a huge impact.
Question to Consider
- What are the last three pieces of content you consumed, and is it of the world or helping you grow as a Lion?
- How can you intentionally put yourself in a position to consume more Godly material?
- What actions will you commit to today to be the leader God intends you to be?

About this Plan

The mind is powerful and, when harnessed correctly, can be a dangerous adversary to Satan. In today’s world of constant connectivity, your guard must be up. This can be overwhelming, and if you are not paying attention, you could enter a battle you are not prepared to fight. However, God’s Word guides us on ways to protect and sharpen our minds to be effective in the fight against darkness.
