Tips On MotherhoodSample

FAMILIES ARE A BLESSING
I love family, don’t you? I love my family of six; I love watching my children grow. I love my extended family, both my side and Greg’s side. I love how our families interact and how there is laughter, joy, and a ton of fun. Families are a blessing. Do we really comprehend that to the fullest?
There are many things that grow and build a happy marriage. One of the most important things I have learned over the last 26 years is that I need to love and accept Greg for the way he is, and not try to change him to be more like me! I know that sounds like a simple concept, but it has taken me a LONG time to really get it. The same principle is true with our family. A big reason that families fight and argue is because family members don’t accept one another the way they are. Instead, they are constantly trying to change each other. Not accepting someone the way they are brings strife. Both people end up frustrated — the person trying to change someone else, and the person being forced to change.
We all need to relax and enjoy one another! If we were all alike, life would not be fun! Enjoy the different personalities represented in your family and learn to appreciate people who are different from you. Embrace the crazy side of others. If you accept others for who they are, they will want to be around you . . . and your “family time” will be full of “quality time” together.
