Strong as a MotherSample
Today’s verse is a promise. A guarantee to everyone who walks in the way of the Lord (Psalm 128:2). As a follower of Jesus, that is some pretty great news! Before we go any further, just say that central phrase over yourself: “I shall be blessed!”
One year my husband and I found ourselves in a season where it felt like everything we were working for went right out of our hands. Have you ever felt that way? We started standing on promises from God’s word like this one. Believing and declaring that we would live in blessing. Part of living in God’s blessing is enjoying the fruit of our work. It is not a free pass from work. Better than that, blessing is living in the joy that comes from seeing the product of your work come alive. May you live in that kind of blessing. Seeing all of the energy you put into your children bear fruit. All of the energy you put into your relationships flourish. All of the energy you put into your business multiply.
And when it says, “it shall be well with you,” the Psalmist covers everything. The word “well” encompasses everything from financial abundance to intellect, and even your ethics. Today may you walk in a blessing that covers every area of your life.
Father God, thank You for Your promises over my life. Thank You for your blessing. I ask You to help me walk in Your ways. I want to enjoy the fruit of my work in every area. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
