Always Near

What have you been asking of God lately? It could be healing from illness, prayer for someone close to you who is hurting, or maybe you just need a little help in your relationships. God can sometimes seem very far away and unconcerned with your requests and needs. These feelings, however, are not the truth. The truth is that God is always very near to you. He knows your heart, He knows what you need, and He will answer. Trust Him as you read today’s Scripture, reflect and know that He will answer your prayers with amazing wonders and inspiring displays of power.

How wonderful it is to know You are here with me. I open my heart to You, Jesus. I am sick of the walls and barriers that I constantly put up. There is no need to hide from You. I literally cannot. Instead, I turn to You with an open and unguarded heart, and I ask that You would fill it with Your love and devotion.
