Welcome to the NeighborhoodSample
At Christmas, it can be easy to think of the story of Jesus’ birth only through the lens of our particular culture or upbringing. But the amazing thing about this verse is that the story of Jesus’ birth is for all people, everywhere. It can’t be contained for one group of people in one culture at one time. This verse says the righteous acts of God have been revealed to all nations. We celebrate Jesus one way in our time and place, but imagine how many different ways there are to do that all over the world!
Today, take some time to pray for one person who is different from you—maybe a different culture, different race, or different heritage—and ask God to expand your view by learning to see how God is revealed in people and places nothing like your own.

About this Plan
When someone new arrives, everything changes. That was never truer than Christmas day, about 2000 years ago. When The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood (John 1:14 MSG), everything changed for everyone. This Christmas, we’re going to take a few weeks to talk about what exactly this means for us.
