BOUGHT!
Ruben looked at his colleagues hesitantly. "What are you up to then?", his colleague asked. "Now that we're here for the business conference, we want to find out what's going on in this place. We usually go for a drink and visit a nightclub. In this nightclub, called 'Carpe Deum,' a spectacular show is being advertised. There's a great casino, too! You really have to experience that." "No, sorry," says Reuben, "but I don't have my eyes with me."
"So, what are you looking with now?" his closest colleague, André asked. "My eyes," replied Reuben, "but these eyes are not mine." Reuben offered to go to a cafe and talk about it further. His colleagues were curious and accepted his proposal.
Over coffee, Ruben explained that he is free to go anywhere, but since he has been following Christ, his needs and desires have changed. "It's like in a marriage - you don't want to do things you know your partner doesn't like at all." As his colleagues try to follow along, they soon begin talking about different things and have such a good time together that they forget about the nightclub. When André removes his sweater because it is so hot inside, he says, "Oh well, here we can ‘pluck the day’, without being ‘plucked’ ourselves!"
We belong to God twice - first, we are created by Him, and second, we were bought and paid for by Him through the sacrifice of Jesus.
CHALLENGE
If your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, how is the Spirit leading you when confronted with decisions about spending your time and money?

About this Plan
When managing money and possessions, according to Biblical principles, it is important to develop an objective view and to cut the ‘umbilical cord’ with which we are attached to what we possess or otherwise risk being possessed by our possessions. Realising that God owns it all, will help us become detached to possessions and more attached to God.
