You might say to me...Of course, Wendy— God loves the world!
But do you believe He loves you?
Many of us can believe that a powerful God sees the world and He loves it. Yet, we struggle to believe that He sees us…our intimate thoughts…our sin... our struggles…and He still loves us.
Dane Ortlund says that:
Many of us tend to believe that if He does love us ... its a love infected with disappointment. We see Him looking down on us with paternal affection but slightly raised eyebrows...
We do think this, but that is not biblical. God is love. And His love toward us is not dependent on us, but on Him. And This is really good news!
