She Is Redeemed: The One Encounter That Changes EverythingSample
Day 5: A God Of Second Chances
God pardons sin and delights in showing mercy (Micah 7:18). Have you ever felt stuck, making the same mistakes over and over? I've been there, battling feelings of unworthiness. After enduring childhood trauma that left me bruised and bleeding out in my teenage years. It turned into a cold and heartless lifestyle where I scorned and hurt people that I love, did not care about what I said and did to others, and only lived and cared about myself in everything I did. I didn't think God would want me - all broken, all hurt, bleeding out, all the deceit and the lies I participated in, all of the careless acts I have done. Could God want someone like me with all this sin in my story? Whew! I thank God for His grace, love, and mercy because those all granted me a second chance at life. An opportunity to give up all of that to be with Him and I never looked back. God’s hand was out and I walked not even knowing that God would blow my mind with the change of my heart, spirit, soul, and body through and through. I would become who He had always seen me as. The Samaritan woman too sat with all of her story and past as she journeyed in the hottest time of day avoiding rejection and judgment from others. But, Jesus uncovered those parts in her story and made her whole again through His redeeming power. God wants to heal us from whatever has hurt us. Bring ALL of you and your story to Jesus. He can heal. He can deliver. He can set things anew. This is a chance at a life filled with peace, love, restoration, and renewal. God bless you!
Reflection: Consider the areas in your life where you need a second chance. Reflect on God's capacity for forgiveness and transformation.
Prayer: Father God, I surrender my past to You. Cleanse me, restore me, and give me a fresh start. Help me embrace the second chance You offer. In Jesus' name, Amen.
