Homecoming Fasting & Prayer DevotionalSample

Christ as Intercessor
Daily Thought:
The life and work of Christ served, in part, as intercession for his people. In this way, he provided the means to enter the kingdom when we could not do so on our own. Yet, on our behalf, our loving Savior reconciled us to the Father. Even now, as Hebrews 7 outlines, Christ continues to intercede for all of us. Praise Jesus for all he has done on our behalf!
Scripture Excerpt:
Hebrews 7:25, ESV
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
Prayer Point:
Today, combine all the components of prayer we have discussed over the last 21 days of prayer and fasting. Allow each one of these prayers to center around the incredible love of Christ. Praise him for what he has done. Live your life in worship of all he has done. Confess and repent as you commit your life daily to his will. Take on a posture of gratitude as you thank Christ for his influential work in your life. Lastly, intercede for others and make supplications for yourself in the name of Christ as you boldly approach him in prayer. What an honor it is to be a part of God's family!
